Rain today, ice overnight

A winter weather advisory is in effect from 1 to 10 a.m. Saturday.

Mixed precipitation is expected, with ice will resulting in  difficult travel conditions. Total ice accumulations of one  tenth to two tenths of an inch are expected. Sleet and snow accumulations are expected to be less than an inch.

Temperatures will fall sharply from the mid 40s at  midnight to the mid 20s by 6 a.m. Saturday on gusty north to northwest winds.

Friday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 4pm, then showers likely. High near 64. South wind 10 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Friday Night: Rain, mainly after 8pm. Low around 26. South wind 7 to 16 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Saturday: Snow and freezing rain, possibly mixed with sleet before noon, then a slight chance of freezing rain between noon and 1pm. High near 29. Blustery, with a north wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
