Rear-end crash in Monroe

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a rear-end crash at 3:28 p.m. on Dec. 5 along Route 209 in Polk Township.

Troopers said a 1999 Ford E350 truck driven by Robert R. Berhel, 41, of Lehighton, rear-ended a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Heidi M. Gearhart, 39, of Gilbert. A passenger with Gearhart, Destiny H. Behling, 19, of Gilbert, sustained a suspected minor injury and was taken to St. Luke’s Monroe Campus by West End ambulance.

Both vehicles were towed.

Troopers cited Berhel for following too closely.
