Rescue at Glen Onoko Wednesday

Crews were dispatched to Glen Onoko Falls for a rescue at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday.

The Jim Thorpe fire company, after arriving on scene, dispatched Lehighton and Nesquehoning fire companies to assist them and Lehigh & Lausanne with additional manpower to extricate the patient. After a short time, emergency crews carried down the patient.

The patient was taken into care by Lehighton ALS and transported to a local hospital with an ankle injury.
