The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, weather permitting:
Carbon County
• Nesquehoning: Route 54/Lake Hauto between: Route 209 and Schuylkill County line, crack sealing, lane restriction with flagging, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
• Penn Forest/Jim Thorpe: Route 903, between Route 209 and Monroe County line, crack sealing, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.
• Franklin Township: Route 209 between Forest Inn Road and Monroe County Line, pothole patching, lane restriction with flagging, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.
• Franklin Township/ Bowmanstown: Route 248 between Route 209 and Club Road, pothole patching, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
• East Penn Township: Church Hill Road between Fritz Valley Road and Ben Salem Road, crack sealing, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
• Mahoning Township: Mahoning Drive between Route 902 and Schuylkill County line, crack sealing, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
• East Penn Township: Berger Hollow Road between Mahoning Mountain Road and Route 895, crack sealing, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Monroe County
• Multiple townships: Interstate 80 East between Exit 293 (Route 380) and Exit 305 (Route 209 Business), litter removal, daytime lane restriction, expect delays and use caution when driving through work zone, Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. through 3 p.m.
• Stroud Township: Route 209 between Saylorsburg exit and Route 209/33 split, crack sealing, daytime lane restriction, watch for stopped traffic and use caution when traveling in work zone, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Hamilton Township: Route 33 between Manor Drive and Route 209/33 Split, bridge repair, daytime lane restriction, expect delays and use caution when driving through work zone, Monday and Tuesday, 9 a.m. through 3 p.m.
• Polk Township: Route 209 between Route 534 and Carbon County, pothole patching, daytime lane restriction, expect delays and use caution when driving through work zone, Monday, 9 a.m. through 3 p.m.
• Chestnuthill Township: Route 209 between Kunkletown Road and Weir Lake Road, pothole patching, daytime lane restriction, use caution when driving through work zone, Tuesday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. through 3 p.m.
Northampton County
• Bethlehem Township: Route 33 at Freemansburg Avenue between Interstate 78 and William Penn Highway, inspection, northbound shoulder and ramp lane restriction, Thursday 9 a.m. to noon; southbound shoulder restriction noon to 3 p.m.
• Lower Saucon: Interstate-78 west between Exit 71 (Route 33) and Exit 60 (Route 309), milling, westbound lane and shoulder restriction, Sunday 8 p.m. through Tuesday 6 p.m.; eastbound between Exit 60 (Route 309) and Exit 67 (Route 412), milling, eastbound lane restriction, Tuesday through Thursday, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Bethlehem Township: Route 33 between William Penn Highway and I-78, inspection, southbound lane restriction Wednesday between noon and 3 p.m.
• Bushkill Township: Route 512 between Community Drive and Bushkill Center Road, brush cutting, lane restriction with flagging, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Palmer, Bethlehem: Route 33 north between Route 22 and Hecktown Road, crack sealing, northbound lane restriction, Monday and Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Nazareth, Tatamy Borough: Route 33 north between Hecktown Road and Tatamy Road Interchange, crack sealing, northbound lane restriction, Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Schuylkill County
• Butler/New Castle townships: Interstate 81 between Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road) and Exit 124 (Route 61), construction, Lane restriction northbound 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., southbound noon to 6 p.m. Thursday.
• Ryan and Mahanoy townships: Interstate 81 between: Exit 124 (Route 61) and Exit 131 (Route 54), crack sealing, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday.
• Rush Township: Route 54 between Lake Road and Tippetts Road, drainage work between 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday.
• Mahanoy Township: Interstate 81, between: Exit 124 (Route 61) and Exit 131 (Route 54), bridge repair, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
