Road work scheduled this week

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work for this week:

Carbon County

• Penn Forest: Hatchery Road between Forest Inn Road and Route 903, pothole patching, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Monday and Wednesday.

• Nesquehoning: Route 54 between Route 209 and Schuylkill County line, pothole patching, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

• Jim Thorpe: Route 209/Catawissa Street between Route 903 and Route 93, pothole patching, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

Lehigh County

• Various locations: Interstate 78 East at Exit 51 (Route 22), construction, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday.

• South Whitehall: Route 22 between Cedar Crest Boulevard and 15th Street, lane maintenance, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, and Wednesday through Friday

• Whitehall Township: Route 22 west at Airport Road south ramp, full closure of Route 22 westbound for overhead road sign work. Closure will take place on Oct. 7 between 2 to 4 a.m. Traffic will be able to access both ramps from Route 22 to north and south Airport Road. Detour will utilize Route 22 west ramp to Airport Road South to American Parkway to Front Street/Fullerton to Route 22 West. There will also be a lane restriction on Route 22 west at the project area begin at 10 p.m.

Monroe County

• Coolbaugh Township: Interstate 380 between Exit 13 (Route 507) and Exit 3 (Route 940), bridge inspection, noon to 3 p.m. Thursday.

• Multiple townships: Route 611 between Northampton County and Interstate 380, paving, 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday

• Tobyhanna Township: Interstate 80 West between Exit 284 (Route 115) and Carbon County line, pothole patching, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.

Northampton County

• Easton: Route 22 at 13th street between Route 248 and 4th street, bridge repair, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Oct. 19.

Schuylkill County

• Butler and New Castle Townships: Interstate 81 between Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road) and Exit 124 (Route 61), construction, 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday through Friday.

• Foster/Butler Townships: Interstate 81 North between Exit 112 (Route 25) and Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road), shoulder work/widening, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday

• New Castle/Butler Townships: Route 61 between Hancock Street and Route 54, highway beautification, 7 a.m. To 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

• Rush Township: Route 54 between Lake Drive and Tippetts Road, drainage, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• North Manheim Township: Route 61 South between Mill Creek Avenue and Route 183, pothole patching, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
