Road work this week

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation plans the following work on area roads this week. Watch for delays.

Carbon County

• Kidder Township: Interstate 80 Westbound between Route 534 and Luzerne County line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Tuesday

• Palmerton/Lower Towamensing Township: Little Gap Road between Forest Inn Road and Monroe County line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Wednesday

• Franklin Township: Canal Street between Long Run Road and Bridge Street, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. today

• Penn Forest Township: Maury Road between Route 903 and Penn’s Peak Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday

• Mahoning Township: Mahoning Mountain Road between Church Hill Road and Bergers Creek Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Lehigh County

• Upper Macungie and Weisenberg townships: Interstate 78 East Between Exit 45 (Route 863) and Exit 49 (Route 100), 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday

• South Whitehall Township: Route 22 Westbound between Springhouse Road and Route 309, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Tuesday

• South Whitehall Township: Route 22 Eastbound between Route 309 and Springhouse Road, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday

• South Whitehall Township: Route 22 Westbound between Springhouse Road and Route 309, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Tuesday

• South Whitehall Township: Route 22 Eastbound between Route 309 and Springhouse Road, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday

• Interstate 78: between Exit 49 (Route 100) and Berks County line, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday and Monday

• Allentown: Interstate 78 between Lehigh Street and Route 145, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Tuesday

• Allentown: Interstate 78 between Route 145 and Lehigh Street, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday

Monroe County

• Stroud Township: Gaunt Road (Over Interstate 80) between Route 33 and Route 209, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday

• Stroud Township: Interstate 80 between Exit 305 (Route 209 Bus) and Exit 302 (Route 611) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday

• Delaware Water Gap: Interstate 80 at Exit 310 (Delaware Water Gap) between Exit 309 (Route 209) and New Jersey State Line, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday

Northampton County

• Moore Township: Route 987 between Route 248 and Route 946, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Friday

• Lehigh Township: Route 248 (over Lehigh Drive) between Blue Mountain Drive and Walnut Drive, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday throughThursday

• Williams Township: Interstate 78 West between Morgan Hill Road and Route 33, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday

• Williams Township: Interstate 78 East between: Route 33 and Morgan Hill Road, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday

Schuylkill County

• New Castle/Ryan Township: Interstate 81 (over Route 61) between Mall Road and Industrial Road, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday

• Delano Township: Lakeside Avenue between Delano Road and Crest Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 24.

• West Penn Township: Route 309 between South Tamaqua and Tamaqua, pothole patching, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Friday.
