Roads are slippery; shelter open in Mahoning

The roads are snow-covered and slippery, according to reports from police and all over social media.

A crash closed Route 902 near Summit Hill about 5:30 p.m.

Another crash was reported on Fairyland and Grange Road, where a car hit a telephone pole.

Route  534  in Polk Township was closed.

Another crash was reported on Kunkletown Road

According to some reports, 6 inches of snow have already fallen over the area.

Mahoning Valley Ambulance has opened its building as an emergency shelter for stranded motorists.
