Roadwork this week

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, weather permitting:

Monroe County

• Tunkhannock Township: Long Pond Road between Routes 115 and 940, crack sealing, lane restriction. Use caution driving through work zone. Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Eldred Township: Upper Smith Gap Road between Chestnutridge Road and Mount Eaton Road, lane restriction for ditch cleaning. Use caution driving through work zone. Tuesday 9 a.m. through 3 p.m.

• Hamilton Township: Route 209 between Lehighton and 209/33 split. Bridge repair, lane restriction. Use caution driving through work zone. Tuesday 9 a.m. through 3 p.m.

Schuylkill County

• Butler and New Castle townships: Interstate 81 North between Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road) and Exit 124 (Route 61), construction, lane restriction from 7 p.m. Sunday through noon Friday. Expect delays and use caution driving through the work zone.

• Butler and New Castle townships: I-81 South between Exit 124 (Route 61) and Exit 119 (Highridge Park Road), construction, lane restriction from 10 p.m. Sunday through noon Friday. Expect delays and use caution driving through the work zone.
