William Gallagher of Palmerton speaks during the Carbon County Veterans Day program. Gallagher, a Vietnam War veteran, talked about how his views changed from the time he came home from the service to the present. At first Gallagher said that he didn’t really consider himself a veteran, but now he does, proudly.
