With lights flashing and sirens sounding, a West End Fire Company truck arrived with Santa Claus in the backseat on Friday evening.

Chestnuthill Township hosted its annual photos with Santa event at the park building, and a crowd of more than 100 kids and adults gathered outside for his arrival.

Three-year-old Aubrey Sestok and her brother, 2-year-old Nikolas Sestok, ran up and greeted him right away.

“I like to see the excitement in their eyes when Santa arrives. This event is about letting the kids visit with Santa and have a good time,” said Bernie Kozen, executive director of West End Park and Recreation Commission.

The crowd followed Santa inside for photos, cookies and cocoa, and crafts.

“I got to see Santa. I am excited,” Aubrey Sestok said while waiting in line for her photo.

After their photo, kids colored a Christmas tree and made a Santa Claus craft.

Kids shared their Christmas gift wishes with Santa and each other.

“I want a bigger doll house,” said 7-year-old Emily Smith.

Her 5-year-old sister Anna Smith wants an LOL Surprise Hairgoal, and their 2-year-old brother Matthew Smith wants a train.
