School dismissals, schedule changes

Schools in the Times News coverage area have announced early dismissals and changes to the schedules ahead of today’s winter storm.

Carbon County Head Start: Coaldale dismissing at 11:15 a.m.; Lehighton at 12:15 p.m.

CCTI: Early dismissal Thursday at 11 a.m.

Jim Thorpe: Early dismissal: 11 a.m. high school; 11:30 Penn-Kidder/LB Morris

Lehighton: Early dismissal - HS-11:15, MS-11:20, EC noon

Northwestern Lehigh: MS/HS dismissing at 10 a.m.; Elementary at 11 a.m.

Palmerton: Early dismissal, Jr/Sr HS at 11 a.m., Elementary at 11:45

Panther Valley: Early dismissal. High school 11:15.  Intermediate/elementary 12:15. Monday is now a half day. All conferences that were scheduled for Thursday at all PVSD buildings are postponed until Monday. Today is still a half day for students. All afterschool activities are canceled.

Pleasant Valley: Dismissing three hours early today. No PM kindergarten. Check the school's social media and website for updates on parent-teacher conferences for Friday.

St. Jerome Regional School: Parent pickup: 10:45 a.m.; Mahanoy Area vus: 9:30 dismissal; Tamaqua, Panther Valley, Hazleton, Weatherly, Jim Thorpe buses: 11:15 dismissal. No Lunch, No ECP. St. John Neumann/Palmerton: Early dismissal; 11 A.M.

Tamaqua: Early dismissal 11 a.m. middle/high school; no PM KG; noon Elementary Dismissal

Weatherly: Dismissing three hours early today.
