Schuylkill Commissioners approve contracts

During a meeting Wednesday, the Schuylkill County Commissioners approved the following contracts:

Lease agreement with the Pottsville Parking Authority for 96 parking spots at the Capital Parking Lot and 14 along the 200 block of Laurel Boulevard at a rate of $36 per space, per month, or $47,520 annually. The agreement is from Jan. 1, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2020. The parking spots are for county employees for the Human Services Complex.

Renewal of the Westlaw Proflex Patron Access legal research program for the county law library at the courthouse. The contract will renew for 36 months with a first-year monthly cost of $2,447, with a 3% increase for each 12-month period following.

Renewal of a software support agreement with Info Emergency Systems in Tampa, Florida, to 24/7 support of the 911 Communications CAD system. The cost of the renewal is $114,941. The agreement is for one year, Jan. 1, 2020 through Dec. 31, 2020.

The commissioners also recognized Heather Garrity, human resources, who is responsible for the county’s claims reporting. The Pennsylvania Counties Risk Pool recognized Garrity as best in the state for county claims reporting. There are 67 counties in Pennsylvania, and 55 belong to PCorp. Garrity received a plaque in recognition of her work.
