Schuylkill County commissioners on Wednesday approved an agreement with PenTeleData of Palmerton for two fiber connections from Pottsville to Stroudsburg for the county 911 center.

One connection has $1,100 nonrecurring fees and $2,775 monthly recurring fees, and one connection has $2,750 nonrecurring fees and $3,688 monthly recurring fees.

Also on behalf of the 911 center, commissioners approved an agreement with Cyan Copier Technologies of Schnecksville for a copier at $94 a month plus an operating cost of $0.0079 per copy. The agreement runs from Sept. 1, 2018, to Aug. 31, 2023.

Commissioners also approved a $4,200 agreement with Greens Communications Inc. of Pottsville for maintenance of the net clock time synchronization.

The agreement runs from Oct. 1, 2018, to Sept. 30, 2019.

In other matters, commissioners approved a cooperation agreement with Schuylkill Community Action to act as local governing body for the Schuylkill County Weatherization Deferral Housing Rehabilitation Program.

They also approved a request by the Affordable Housing Trust Fund board to reallocate funding awarded to the county land bank in 2018 from their original request for three projects in Frackville, Minersville and Girardville to projects in Ashland and Delano Township.

The change was made necessary due to the higher-than-projected costs for the Ashland/Delano projects.

Commissioners also approved a $23,750 contract with Caretti Restoration and Preservation Services LLC of Camp Hill to do emergency repairs to the prison wall yard.

The repairs include cleaning debris and growth, removing loose mortar and repointing.
