Schuylkill County court — ARD
Schuylkill County President Judge William E. Baldwin recently accepted seven people charged by local police into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program.
If they successfully complete the program for first-time offenders, their records may be expunged.
All were ordered to pay court costs and fees.
Alexander Elchisak, 19, of Kelayres, was charged by McAdoo police with possession of marijuana, improper stopping and possession of drug paraphernalia on Feb. 1.
Baldwin accepted him into ARD for 12 months, and ordered him to pay $500 to offset the cost of the program.
Tucker Kuhlmann, 19, of Allentown, was charged by McAdoo police with possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia on Feb. 22, 2017.
Baldwin accepted him into ARD for 12 months, ordered him to pay $350 to offset the cost of the program, and perform 10 hours of community service.
Silas A. Plunkett Jr., 25, of Hazleton, was charged by McAdoo police with driving under the influence and driving without headlights on Aug. 13, 2016.
Baldwin accepted him into ARD for 12 months, and ordered him to pay $500 to offset the cost of the program.
He also ordered Plunkett to pay a $25 fine on the lighting charge.
Plunkett’s license was suspended for 60 days.
Sonya Stefanik, 46, of Mahanoy City, was charged by McAdoo police with retail theft and receiving stolen property on June 25, 2015.
Baldwin accepted her into ARD for 12 months, and ordered her to pay $350 to offset the cost of the program and to perform 10 hours of community service.
Maria Tagliaferri, 49, of Toms River, New Jersey, was charged by McAdoo police with driving under the influence and failing to keep right on Oct. 13, 2016.
Baldwin accepted her into ARD for 12 months, and ordered her to pay $500 to offset the cost of the program, and to perform 10 hours of community service.
James J. Walck, 42, of McAdoo, was charged by borough police with driving under the influence, no rear lights and turning movements/signals on March 26, 2016.
Baldwin accepted him into ARD for 12 months, and ordered him to pay $500 to offset the cost of the program and to perform 10 hours of community service.
Walck’s license was suspended for 30 days.
Xiao Hua Wu, 26, of Mount Carmel. was charged by Rush Township police with driving under the influence and possession of marijuana on Feb. 18, 2017.
Baldwin accepted him into ARD for 12 months, and ordered him to pay $500 to offset the cost of the program and to perform 10 hours of community service.
Wu’s license was suspended for 30 days.
