Schuylkill County court — guilty pleas

Schuylkill County Judge John E. Domalakes recently accepted guilty pleas and imposed sentences on these people charged by local police.

Edward Kashmer, 52, of Tamaqua, was charged by Tamaqua police with making a false statement under penalty and making a materially false written statement involving the purchase, delivery, transfer under penalty on Nov. 15, 2016.

He pleaded guilty to the false statement under penalty charge, and Domalakes sentenced him to 12 months on probation. The charge of materially false written statement was dropped.

Robert W. Snyder Jr., 26, of Coaldale, was charged by borough police with two counts each of open lewdness and disorderly conduct/hazardous/physical offense on March 1, 2017.

Domalakes sentenced him to 12 months on probation. The disorderly conduct charges were dropped.

Megan J. Luchetta, 23, of McAdoo, was charged by borough police with defiant trespass and disorderly conduct on April 25, 2017.

Domalakes sentenced her to six months on probation. The charge of disorderly conduct was dropped.

Vanessa L. Miller, 30, of Tamaqua, was charged by the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office with public welfare fraud on Feb. 1, 2016.

Domalakes sentenced her to 12 months on probation, and ordered her to repay $1,499 to the state.

Bradley N. Contress, 24, of Hazleton, was charged by Rush Township police with retail theft and receiving stolen property on Nov. 5, 2013.

Domalakes sentenced him to 12 months on probation. The receiving charge was dropped.

Katrina Bryant, 36, of Reeders, was charged by McAdoo police with driving without insurance, suspended registration, unsafe equipment, and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Jan. 27, 2017.

She pleaded guilty to the marijuana and unsafe equipment charges. The others were dropped.

Domalakes sentenced her to 30 days on probation for the marijuana and $25 on the unsafe equipment charge.

Brian W. Niece, 46 of Tamaqua, was charged by Rush Township police with simple assault and harassment on June 30, 2017.

Domalakes sentenced him to 12 months on probation for assault. The harassment charge was dropped.
