Schuylkill County court — probation

Schuylkill County President Judge William E. Baldwin has placed on probation nine people charged by local police. In addition to their supervision, all were ordered to pay court costs and fees.

Blaine Smith, 37, of Tamaqua, was charged by borough police with theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief on Oct. 15, 2017.

The theft and mischief charges were dropped in plea negotiations, and Baldwin placed him on probation for 12 months.

Odette Acosta, 42, of McAdoo, was charged by borough police with simple assault, conspiracy to commit simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment on Dec. 15, 2017.

Baldwin placed her on probation for 24 months on the assault charge. The remaining charges were dropped.

David Hartranft, 24, of Tamaqua, was charged by state police at Frackville with simple assault and harassment on Feb. 14, 2018.

Baldwin placed him on probation for 24 months. The harassment charge was dropped.

Brian K. Haas, 51, of Tamaqua, was charged by borough police with disorderly conduct on Feb. 17, 2014.

Baldwin placed him on probation for 12 months.

Keith Schlosser, 36, of Tamaqua, was charged by Coaldale police with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on April 3, 2016.

Baldwin placed him on probation for 12 months. The paraphernalia charge was dropped.

Allison Sanders, 39, of New Ringgold, was charged by Tamaqua police with retail theft on Jan. 19, 2018.

Baldwin placed her on probation for 12 months.

Sara M. Hook, 38, of Allentown, was charged by Kline Township police with agricultural trespass and scattering rubbish on July 3, 2017.

Baldwin placed her on probation for 12 months. The rubbish charge was dropped.

Nathan Pfeiffer, 26, of Weatherly, was charged by McAdoo police with two counts of intent to possess a controlled substance by a person not registered, possession of marijuana, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, and obedience to traffic-control devices on Dec. 26, 2017.

Baldwin placed him on probation for 12 months and ordered him to perform 20 hours of community service.

All but the paraphernalia charge were dropped.

Moriah J. Turner, 29, of New Ringgold, was charged by West Penn Township police with two counts of hindering apprehension on Aug. 17, 2017.

Baldwin placed her on probation for 36 months and ordered her to perform 20 hours of community service.
