Five defendants were placed on probation and one accepted into the ARD Program, in decisions by Schuylkill County Judge John E. Domalakes April 24.

Rebecca L. Deetz, 45, Tamaqua, was arrested by Rush Township Police officer Fred Lahovski on Aug. 5, 2018, and charged with retail theft. Deetz will be on probation for 18 months and must pay a $50 per month supervision fee. She must pay $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Act and make restitution of $88.89 to Walmart. She must submit a DNA sample and pay the $250 fee.

Sally Marie Christensen, 24, Windsor, New York, was arrested June 1, 2018, by Rush Township Police officer Michael Weaver and charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, disorderly conduct and careless driving. On the count one endangering charge, she must pay $50 to the CJEA and a $50 per month supervision fee. She will be on probation for 12 months on the four endangering charges, to run concurrently. The disorderly conduct and careless driving charges were dropped.

Torrey S. Mueller, 42, Tamaqua, was arrested July 29, 2018, by Tamaqua Police officer Thomas Rogers and charged with criminal contempt-retail theft. Mueller must pay $50 to the CJEA and a $50 a month supervision fee and will be on probation for 12 months.

David E. Ritsick, 57, McAdoo was arrested Sept. 6, 2018, by McAdoo Police officer Fred Lahovski and charged with simple assault, harassment, public drunkenness and two counts of disorderly conduct. On the simple assault charge, Ritsick must pay $50 to the CJEA and a $50 a month supervision fee. He will be on probation for 12 months. He must pay a $300 fine for the disorderly conduct charge. The harassment and public drunkenness charges were dropped. Ritsick must have no contact with his victim.

Thomas R. Weikel, 42, Pottsville, was arrested by Coaldale Police officer Thomas Sabulsky on Sept. 3, 2018, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Weikel must pay $100 to the substance abuse education fund and pay a $50 a month supervision fee. He will be on probation for 12 months.

Ismeal Valentine-Medina, 42, McAdoo, was arrested by Rush Township Police officer Bradley Hess on Sept. 28, 2018, and charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property. Valentine-Medina must pay $50 to the CJEA, a supervision fee of $50 per month, and $350 to Schuylkill County to defray the cost of the ARD program, and pay costs of prosecution, ARD assessment, and restitution on a payment schedule. Valentine-Medina must perform 10 hours of community service.
