Two men arrested by Rush Township police received state prison sentences in decisions by Schuylkill County President Judge William E. Baldwin last week.

Allen Charles Schrader III, 26, Pottsville, was arrested on retail theft charges on July 15 and 19. He was sentenced to six months to two years. He must pay $1,254.96 restitution to Walmart and $350 in fines and costs.

Edward G. Kerlavage, 66, Allentown, was arrested on driving under the influence charges by Chief Kenneth Zipovsky on Aug. 1, 2018. Kerlavage was sentenced to one to five years. He must pay fines and costs totaling $3,077, complete the alcohol highway safety school and attend outpatient substance abuse counseling for two to three months. He must also perform 30 hours community service.

In another decision by Baldwin, a man arrested on drug charges by Tamaqua police was sentenced to three to 12 months in county prison.

Steven P. Campbell, 50, Tamaqua, was arrested Aug. 21 for possession of a controlled substance. He must pay $150 in fines and costs.
