An Andreas man who entered a guilty plea on drug charges will spend 30 days to 23 months in Schuylkill County Prison, in a decision by President Judge William E. Baldwin on Dec. 3. Baldwin also revoked probation for a man arrested three years ago.
Dylan J. Ciappa, 40, was arrested by the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General on Feb. 28, 2018, on charges of criminal use of a communication facility, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. His time served will be followed by three years on probation.
Michael A. Hooper, 30, of Ashley, probation is revoked and he was resentenced to serve three to 12 months. Hooper was arrested by Rush Township Police on July 26, 2015, on a charge of receiving stolen property.
In a decision by Judge Charles Miller on Dec. 9, a man charged with DUI by Coaldale Police was sentenced to 72 hours to six months.
Matthew W. Elison, 19, Donaldson, entered a guilty plea to the DUI charge. He will be granted immediate parole after serving the minimum sentence. Fines and costs are $1,425 and his driving privileges will be suspended for one year. He must complete the alcohol highway safety school and perform 10 hours community service.
