Two people arrested by Coaldale Police in July received state prison sentences, in rulings by President Judge William E. Baldwin January 10.

Michael L. Curry, 31, Lansford was sentenced to 3½ to 7 years for delivery of a controlled substance. He must also pay fines and costs of $400. He was arrested July 18.

Candace L. Bylinski, 35, Coaldale was sentenced to 1 to 2 years for delivery of a controlled substance. She must pay fines and costs of $263. She was arrested July 25.

In additional ruling by Judge Baldwin, defendants received county prison terms.

Kevin L. Matthes, 57, New Ringgold, was sentenced to 2 days to 6 months on a DUI charge. He had already served the minimum sentence and was immediately paroled. He was arrested Feb. 21 by Pennsylvania State Police — Schuylkill Haven. He must pay fines and costs of $1,130 plus $953.76 to a victim.

John D. Carboni, 47, Barnesville, was sentenced to 6 to 23 months on a charge of theft of secondary metal. He was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police – Frackville February 20.

Hank Watson Jones Jr., 30, Lansford, was sentenced to 72 hours to 5 years for DUI/controlled substance. He was arrested by Coaldale Police July 11. Fines and costs are $1,627 and his license will be suspended for 18 months. He must do 100 hours of community service and complete alcohol highway safety school.

Caroline Anne Kolenda, 29, Nazareth, was sentenced to time served to 23 months. She was charged by Tamaqua Police with resisting arrest June 1. Fines and costs are $300.
