A Tamaqua man arrested on DUI charges by Coaldale police will spend 14 months to 7 years in Schuylkill County Prison, in a decision by Judge Charles Miller on Feb. 7.
Joseph A. Spencer, 47, was arrested Jan. 31, 2019, on charges of DUI/controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while operator’s privileges are suspended or revoked, and a stop sign violation. Spencer must also pay $3,429 in fines and costs, serve 30 hours community service and complete the alcohol highway safety school. His license will be suspended for 18 months, followed by 12 months ignition interlock.
