Schuylkill driver dies in crash on Sunday
A Schuylkill County driver was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 1:17 p.m. Sunday.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred along Route 901, about 150-feet from Interstate 81, in Foster Township.
Troopers said Adam Gregory Ould, 27, of Forest Lane, Pottsville, was driving a 2000 Jeep Cherokee northbound when he left his lane of travel, crossed to the southbound lane and struck a guide rail along the berm. The Jeep then continued north off the road and traveled down an embankment before striking guide rail and a barrier. The Jeep continued onto I-81 where it came to rest on its roof in the right lane of travel.
Ould was pronounced dead at the scene. The Jeep sustained heavy damages. Ould was not wearing a seat belt, troopers noted.
The interstate was closed for about three hours, troopers said.
