Schuylkill driver in Lehigh crash

A Schuylkill County driver was charged following a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:52 a.m. on Feb. 17 along Route 309 in Lynn Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Daniel L. Shook, 42, of New Ringgold, was driving a 2009 Toyota Camry northbound and traveling too fast to traverse a right curve in the road. The Camry entered into a spin which Shook attempted to correct. Troopers said Shook overcompensated causing his vehicle to strike a 2011 Hyundai Sonata operated by Kimberly A. Spachman, 46, of New Tripoli.

No one was injured. Troopers cited Shook for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
