Schuylkill fire in Newkirk
Fire companies from several communities were dispatched to a dwelling fire this morning in Schuylkill Township. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found heavy smoke pouring from an already burned out home along old Route 209 on the village of Newkirk. Firefighters battled a stubborn blaze at the same site several years ago. Officials are investigating the cause of the incident.
