Schuylkill man jailed after disturbance

A Schuylkill County man was jailed on public drunkenness and a state parole violation charges.

State police at Frackville said a patrol unit observed a man at Main and Lloyd streets, in Shenandoah, at 9:50 a.m. on Aug. 8, causing a disturbance.

He was identified as Stephen Mackeravage, 48, of Shenandoah, and was found to be under the influence of alcohol to a degree that he was a danger to himself and others.

He was taken into custody by troopers and state parole officers, for violating his state parole. He was then placed in the county prison in Pottsville on the parole violation. A charge of public drunkenness was filed by troopers.
