Schuylkill man jailed for assault
A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Saturday following an assault incident.
State police at Frackville said a 59-year-old woman from MaryD, Schuylkill Township, reported she sustained an injury to her chest while she was pinned to the ground along Back Street in MaryD by a 37-year-old man from MaryD. The man, who troopers declined to identify, was taken into custody and charged with assault - bodily injury. He was arraigned before on-call District Judge David J. Rossi, of Tremont, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $10,000 straight cash bail.
