Schuylkill to seek bids for $122,000 roof project
Schuylkill County expects to spend about $122,000 to replace the roof on the courthouse annex.
Commissioners Gary J. Hess and Chairman George F. Halcovage Jr., with Commissioner Frank J. Staudenmeier absent, on Wednesday agreed to seek bids for the project.
Bids will be accepted in the controller’s office at the courthouse until 3 p.m. April 2.
The bids will be publicly opened at 9 a.m. April 4 in the commissioners’ board room and reported at the commissioners’ work session at 10 a.m., with a tentative award date of April 11.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 1 p.m. March 22, with a rain date of March 26.
In other matters Wednesday, commissioners approved a memorandum of agreement on behalf of the county Emergency Management Agency with the Northampton Community College to provide specialized training needs according to federal and state guidelines in a cost effective manner.
