Schuylkill woman admits to four retail theft counts
A Schuylkill County woman pleaded guilty in Carbon County court on Monday to four retail theft counts.
Brittany Kieffer, 22, of Coaldale, entered the pleas before Judge Joseph J. Matika.
She was charged for incidents on the following dates and victims: June 18, 2017, Walmart store in Mahoning Township; Oct. 18, 2017, Palmerton Tobacco, Delaware Avenue; Oct. 19, 2017, Country Harvest, Delaware Avenue, Palmerton; and Dec. 23, 2017, Walmart store.
Matika placed her on probation for a total of two years on the four counts and ordered her to render a total of 100 hours of community service, get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, supply a DNA sample, pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation, make restitution of $23.46 to Country Harvest and $16.49 to Palmerton Tobacco, and stay out of all the stores.
