Services set for fire victims, fundraisers planned
A celebration of the lives of Bruce A. “Buddy” Miller Jr. and his son, Bruce Alan Miller
will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Bethany Wesleyan Church, 675 Blue Mountain Drive, Cherryville. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. before the service on Saturday and on Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. all at the church.
Buddy was the owner of Better Bid Tree Service for over 15 years and loved operating all of his newest work toys. His free time was spent fishing, hunting, rooting for the Eagles and Phillies, playing video games, bowling, snowboarding and spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for cars, country music and being a prankster, according to his obituary.

Numerous fundraisers are being held throughout the community. Today and Tuesday the One Ten Tavern in Palmerton is hosting a basket raffle and specials. A Miller memorial ride is being held April 27, starting at Becky’s Drive in, with 75 percent of proceeds going to the Miller family, and the remaining going to Lehigh Township Police Department.
