Shuttle offered in county lot for Fall Foliage Festival

Fall Foliage Festival visitors will be able to catch a ride if they park in Carbon County parking lot this weekend.

The commissioners announced that a 12-passenger shuttle will be in the lot Saturday and Sunday, picking up people after they park and taking them up to the parking ticket booth.

Commissioner Thomas J. Gerhard said that the county knows it is a long walk from the end of the parking lot to the booth, so shuttling them would be a nice service for the visitors.

The bus will not leave the county parking lot throughout the weekend.

This is the second weekend for the Fall Foliage Festival in Jim Thorpe.

There is food, craft vendors, free entertainment, train rides and more.
