Slack a member of UW-Whitewater gymnastic team
Christina Slack, a native of Albrightsville and graduate of Jim Thorpe High School, will compete for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnastics team during the 2018 season.
Slack, a senior at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in chemistry. She is a three-time National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women Scholastic All-American.
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnastics team enters the 2018 season with high expectations, including hopes for a second consecutive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship and second straight National Collegiate Gymnastics Association national title.
Behind their 2018 team motto, “Battle with Heart,” the Warhawks look to build on their success as one of the most consistent small college programs in the nation.
Head coach Jennifer Regan, who is in her 16th year at the helm of the program, claimed NCGA National Coach of the Year honors in 2017 after leading the team to its fourth national championship in the last six years and fifth WIAC/NCGA West Regional title in the last eight.
