Slatington driver cited after crash

A Slatington driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 10:07 a.m. on Wednesday along Trexlertown Road in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Brandon A. Rothrock, 24, was operating a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup truck eastbound on Spring Creek Road. He then attempted a left turn onto Trexlertown Road and in doing so accelerated his truck with the front right end impacting between a metal guide rail and a concrete bridge rail on the right side of the road.

Troopers cited Rothrock for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
