Slatington senior named Girl of the Month for February
Northern Lehigh High School senior Emme Reiser of Slatington has been chosen as the Slatington Woman’s Club Girl of the Month for February.
Emme is the daughter of Janelle and Robert Reiser. She has a sister, Anee.
Her activities include debate, National Junior Honor Society and Patriot Club. Emme has also been involved in cross-country, field hockey and track, and works part time at Dorney Park.
In addition, she has volunteered at St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Breakfast Bunch and community lunches and dinners they hold. Emme enjoys history, coloring, drawing, writing, researching, politics, biking, jewelry making, science-fiction shows, books, movies, listening to music, current news, formal debate, and discussion about controversial or academic topics.
She has received the presidential award for academic excellence, been named to the principal’s list and was honored as the Student of the Month of October at LCTI. Her future plans include studying political science in college and working for the government, most likely in the Capitol Building as a congressional staffer or perhaps in the CIA or FBI.
