Some schools closing, others on delay

The Tamaqua, Jim Thorpe and Weatherly school districts are now closed.

The following schools have announced delays:

Lehighton, 2-hour delay

Palmerton Area School District, 2-hour delay

Panther Valley, 2 hour delay with modified kindergarten

Pleasant Valley, 2-hour delay

Carbon County Community Transit shared ride and Lynx bus service is suspended until 10 a.m. on Monday.

Chestnuthill Transfer and Recycling Center will not open until 9 a.m. today.
