This year marks the 30th annual Carbon County Senior Games.
The eight-day Olympic-style competition has grown in popularity over the past three decades, growing to 242 participants this year.
Representing each team, they include 74 from the Jim Thorpe-Penn Kidder Senior Center; 74 from the Lehighton Senior Center; 35 from the Palmerton Senior Center; 38 from the Panther Valley Senior Center; and 21 from the Weatherly Senior Center.
Of those participants, 99 are men and 143 are women.
Here is a look at some of the action in the first few days of competition.
