Spring bird walk at Locust Lake

Conservation volunteer and avid birder David Kruel will lead a bird walk at 7:30 a.m. on May 18, beginning at Locust Lake State Park parking lot in Barnesville.

Kruel will offer helpful information about how to identify the local and migratory songbirds by sight, song, habitat and behavior.

The walk is sponsored by the Schuylkill Conservancy. Those attending are encouraged to bring along binoculars.
