St. Luke’s chefs return to Lehighton Farmers Market

Back by popular demand, the chefs of St. Luke’s will join the Lehighton Downtown Farmers Market for the last regular market of the season.

Hosted by the Lehighton Downtown Initiative, the market will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, with the chefs beginning their shopping around 10 a.m.

Join Executive Chef Chris Lapallo from the Miners Campus, and Executive Chef Antonio Inzillo from the Gnaden Huetten Campus, representing St. Luke’s and Metz Culinary Management.

“The chefs are looking forward to working with our local farmers and vendors, shopping the market and doing a cooking demo with all that would like to join,” said Bambi Elsasser, treasurer of the Lehighton Downtown Initiative. “Of course, don’t forget about all the samples to taste.”

Elsasser said the chefs will showcase a healthy 30-minute meal used with fresh produce and meat from the local farmers.

The Lehighton Downtown Winter Farmers Market will be held from 10 a.m. to noon the second and fourth Saturday of the month at the Lehighton Recreation Center, 243 S. Eighth St., starting Oct. 26.

The winter Market will run through the beginning of May.
