State police at Frackville investigate incidents

State police at Frackville are investigating the following incidents:

• Diesel fuel was taken from the parking area of the Highridge Park Road at Interstate 81 ramp in Cass Township, Schuylkill County. Sometime between Nov. 19 and 21 someone siphoned about 60 gallons of diesel fuel from two construction vehicles parked in the lot. The trucks are owned by New Enterprise Stone and Lime, New Enterprise, Bedford County.

• Troopers said a 55-year-old woman from North William Street, Girardville, reported someone damaged the rear window on her 2003 Chevrolet Suburban while parked near her home. The incident occurred sometime overnight of Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 9:45 a.m.

Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.

• A two-vehicle crash happened at 11:52 a.m. on Nov. 27 along Route 924, in Shenandoah.

Troopers said Alan A. Shinkus, 70, of Frackville, was northbound in a 2011 Toyota Yaris in the left turn lane intending to turn left into a local market. Vincent D. Anthony, 25, of Minersville, was southbound in a 2014 Ford Focus. Troopers said Shinkus turned in front of Anthony and a collision occurred. No one was injured. Both vehicles were towed.

Troopers cited Shinkus for traffic control device violation.

• A Schuylkill County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred at 11 p.m. Saturday along East Main Street in Ringtown.

Troopers said Sean C. Fisher, 29, of Ringtown, punctured the tire and damaged the rim on a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta owned by a Mountain Top man. Damages were estimated at $250.

Fisher was charged with criminal mischief.
