State police investigate criminal mischief, harassment
State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating the following incidents:
• A criminal mischief incident occurred between 9:30 p.m. July 24 and 11 a.m. July 25 along Lake Roads in Township. The victim is a 58-year-old woman from Saylorsburg who reported someone smashed her mailbox, causing $40 in damages.
• A criminal mischief incident that happened between midnight July 21 and 7:19 p.m. July 22 in the 300 block of Maple Terrace, Ross Township, is being investigated. The victim is a man from Saylorsburg who reported someone broke plastic trim off his vehicle.
• Police are investigating the theft of a “Road Closed” construction sign from the 1500 block of Mauch Chunk Road in Bowmanstown. The victim is the Linde Corporation, who reported someone took the sign, valued at $200, between 4 p.m. July 13 and 7 a.m. July 16.
• State police were summoned to Ross Township to investigate an incident of harassment that took place at 8:32 p.m. July 21. They charged a man from Sciota with harassment after he allegedly entered the property of the victim, a woman from Saylorsburg, and put his hand on her.
