State police at Lehighton
State police at the Lehighton barracks reported on the following incidents:
• A 28-year-old woman from Andreas is facing charges of providing false identification to authorities after a traffic stop police made at 11:32 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of White and Bank streets in Bowmanstown.
Police said after stopping a 2011 Mazda for a traffic violation, the woman who was driving told the officer she didn’t have her driver’s license in her possession and then provided her wrong name and date of birth to the officer multiple times. Charges will be filed through the district magistrate.
• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between 6:30 p.m. Feb. 25 and 6:30 a.m. Feb. 26 along Pohopoco Drive in Towamensing Township.
The victim is a 43-year-old Kunkletown man who reported that someone damaged the right front window of his 1998 Ford Expedition that was parked at the residence. The estimated damages are $200.
