State police at Lehighton
State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents being investigated by troopers.
• A 19-year-old woman from Saylorsburg, Ross Township, reported she has been receiving harassing text messages from an unknown source since about August.
• A 58-year-old woman from Palmerton reported that a Dell Inspiron laptop was delivered to her residence along Interchange Road in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, by FedEx, but claimed she never received the package. The incident was reported on Monday.
• A 23-year-old woman from Kunkletown reported she left her wallet at the Kunkletown Post Office, located along Kunkletown Road, in Eldred Township, on Tuesday, and when she arrived to pick it up she found that the $900 in cash inside was gone. A canvass of the area was made and video surveillance of the township building was reviewed with negative results.
• A 41-year-old man from Palmerton reported his identity was stolen to open a Verizon cellphone account. The incident occurred sometime between Oct. 27 and Dec. 7.
