State police at Lehighton report on incidents
State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents:
• A Bethlehem man has been cited for harassment following an incident that occurred at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday along Lake Road in Ross Township, Monroe County. State police said Charles Walker, 43, harassed a 42-year-old woman from Saylorsburg, following a verbal altercation.
• State police are investigating a criminal mischief incident reported on Thursday. Troopers said a 65-year-old man from Palmerton reported the incident occurred at the Riverwalck Saloon in Parryville. The crime occurred when someone vandalized outdated computer equipment, dishes, an antique glass cabinet and glass panel on a garage door. Total damages were estimated at $620.
• A 27-year-old woman from Tobyhanna is facing drug counts following an incident that occurred at 4:25 p.m. Thursday. State police said troopers conducted a traffic stop along Route 248 at Lehigh Drive in Bowmanstown, Carbon County, for a motor vehicle code violation. Troopers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle and seized. Charges are pending. Troopers declined to identify the suspect.
