State police at Schuylkill Haven
State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following incidents:
• State police said Andrew Hamilton, 31, of Pine Grove, entered a home along Mountain Road in Washington Township, on Saturday around 8 p.m. and removed two Mason jars full of quarters. The total amount taken was $150. He was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and theft.
• State police are investigating a burglary at a Schuylkill County commercial business. Troopers said a shipping container, stored in a fenced area in the 3600 block of Sweet Arrow Lake Road, in Washington Township, was entered sometime between Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. and Monday at 3 p.m. Copper rods were removed. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-754-4600.
• A large amount of cash and state inspection stickers were reported stolen in a burglary at a Schuylkill County business. State police responded to Ulsh Auto Sales, 985 Route 183, in Wayne Township, around 6 p.m. on Feb. 5 for a reported burglary. On scene, troopers determined that the building was entered by someone who used a crow bar to break open the south side entrance. Filing cabinets and desks were rummaged through.
According to police, it was reported that $10,000 in cash and an unknown amount of 2018-2019 state inspection stickers, valued at about $182.50, were taken. The investigation is continuing, troopers added.
