Steely Dan tribute, Montreal Blues

The Paul DesLauriers Band will be appearing at 8 p.m. Friday at the Mauch Chunk Opera House, 14 West Broadway, Jim Thorpe.

These Montreal-based, Canadian Blues veterans blend rock with straight-ahead blues in a way that echoes the vibe of the great power trios from the ’60s and ’70s, yet they take the music to another level via modern stylings and an attack that’s free of clichés.

Hey Nineteen is the nation’s top Tribute to Steely Dan Tribute — an 11-piece groove machine which brings enormous performance energy and spot-on Steely Dan music and the knowledge and musicality to master the complex music of Steely Dan.

They bring the big hits and the deep cuts, from “Do It Again” to “Your Gold Teeth II,” from “Reelin’ in the Years” to “Doctor Wu,” “Peg” and many more.
