Five Towamensing Elementary students recently received the “Principal’s Plaque” for their consistent academic work over the past four years.

Karsten Rolappe, Jared Reinhard, Cody Walkowiak, Cora Wentz and Jessica Heydt received all As in each academic area every marking period in grades 3-6, according to Principal Christine Steigerwalt.

“They also received an “O” or “S” in their special area classes,” Steigerwalt added.

The group was honored with plaques at the schools moving up ceremony.

In all, 51 sixth graders participated in the ceremony, which included recognition of art award winners, general music, chorus and band members, student council members, environmental club members, peer helpers, envirothon participants and tech wizards participants.

Emily Christopher, Jessica Heydt, Mason Rausch, Karsten Rolapp, Ty Sander and Cody Walkowiak were honored for perfect attendance.

“Sixth Sense” participants included Jared Reinhard, Emilio Gonzalez, Karsten Rolappe and Jonah Ahner.

Cody Walkowiak, Cecelia Pyfer and Cora Wentz received a Citizenship Award.
