The Jim Thorpe lions club held its annual awards dinner recently at the high school cafeteria.
The Lions Club has been recognizing Jim Thorpe High School seniors since 1974 for their academic achievements and desire to succeed in specialized areas of study.
Students of the month are selected by Jim Thorpe faculty and staff. Each student recognized at the awards dinner was presented with a plaque to commemorate their accomplishments. .
The following students were recognized during the event: October, Andrew Rusbarsky, business education; November, Jean Carlos Sandoval, physical education; January, Saige Sterner, music; February, Christine McLaughlin, art; March, Hunter Buskirk, technical education; April, Haylee Thieling, foreign language; April, Kathleen Conway, foreign language; and May, Dominick Bierman, computer technology.
