A Summit Hill man is charged with endangering children after driving while under the influence.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by state police at Lehighton:

Danall George Greenzweig of Summit Hill is charged with one felony count of endangering the welfare of children, one count of simple assault and one count of driving a vehicle with a suspended license after an incident that occurred on April 7, 2019.

According to the report, state police responded to the area of Greenhill Road, Polk Township, at 8 p.m. to locate a dark blue BMW after a report from a victim that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and had a 1-year-old as a passenger.

State police arrived on scene to find a victim with bruises on her forearm. She reported that she and her boyfriend, Greenzweig, were hanging out at a residence on Molasses Valley Road along with their 1-year-old son and some friends.

She said Greenzweig had consumed approximately two bottles of vodka before he began to argue with her and demanded they leave the residence.

She said she secured the child in the car seat and began to seat herself in the front passenger seat when Greenzweig physically pushed her out of the vehicle and drove away.

The woman said Greenzweig had physically assaulted her earlier that day and said he physically assaults her frequently.

Greenzweig is currently being held at the Monroe County prison after he was unable to post $100,000 bail.
