Published November 29. 2019 12:55PM

A Summit Hill man pleaded guilty to a drug charge on Monday in Carbon County court.

Javier Ceron Guzman, 49, pleaded to one count of possession of a controlled substance before President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II.

Guzman was arrested on Dec. 28, 2018, by Summit Hill police along East Vernon Street. His plea was entered after Nanovic revoked him from the county’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program for violating conditions. His revocation was on a petition filed by the adult probation office.

Nanovic placed him on probation for a year and ordered he get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, zero tolerance for drug or alcohol use, pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation.

The sentence runs concurrent with a probation period Guzman is serving in Schuylkill County.
