Summit Hill tax collector issues reminders to residents

The payment of Summit Hill Borough and Carbon County real estate taxes is currently in the discount period in which property owners would receive a 2 percent discount on the face value of the taxes if they are paid before May 31.

Tax Collector Kathleen Crampsie reminds residents her office will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-7 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Residents are also reminded that because the two taxing bodies use different printers for the bills, they have been mailed separately and may have arrived at residents’ homes at different times.
