Sunday school officers elected

The Grier City Union Sunday school has elected to retain last year’s slate of officers Officers for 2018 are: Loretta Beltz, president; Edith Messerschmidt, vice president; Justin Bailey, secretary; Georgine Clemens, treasurer. The board of trustees includes: Richard Beltz, Linda Light, Larry Light, Dana Jones, John Shoup and Carol Kelly.

Established around 1897, the Grier City Sunday school is one of the only nondenominational Sunday schools in the nation. Attendance fell off somewhat, but began picking up again when bylaws were recently updated and new officers were elected.

The Sunday school meets at 10 a.m. every Sunday and is open for ages preschool to adult. For more information, contact Justin Bailey at pps562004@yahoo.com.
